SmartXide CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

First Glance is proud to be one of the first clinics in Oklahoma to offer the SmartXide CO2 resurfacing laser. CO2 laser skin resurfacing has long been the gold standard for clearing wrinkles, acne scars and brown pigmentation. The three month down time with traditional CO2
lasers has prevented many from benefiting from CO2. SmartXide offers the benefits of traditional resurfacing with only 4-10 days of recovery time.

How does it work?

The SmartXide Dot machine removes a customized pattern of dots causing uneven skin tones to disappear and stimulates collagen production for wrinkles and acne scarring. Because only a small amount of skin is targeted, the healing and recovery times are much more rapid than with full surface CO2 resurfacing.

What can I expect during and after the procedure?

The first part of your procedure is where the topical anesthetic is applied and allowed to sit for an hour. Your face will be washed and if the face and/or eye area is to be treated, eye shields will be placed.
Dr. Gregory will proceed with your treatment which lasts 20 – 40 minutes. At this point you may feel like a mild to moderate sunburn so cool cloths and a Zimmer cooler will assist with calming this feeling. Finally, you will have several soothing balms and moisturizers applied so that you leave feeling comfortable enough to drive yourself home.

How quickly will I see results?

Many clients will notice skin tightening immediately. The results from collagen stimulation will be noticed at one month and will continue for up to six months.

Are the changes permanent?

All improvements seen from the SmartXide treatment are permanent and may be enjoyed for years to come. The effects seen from continued aging will occur so care must be taken to maintain the results from your procedure. Dr Gregory and her staff will be happy to guide
